Area volleyball teams kicked off the fall sports season Tuesday, September 2. Sylvan-Lucas and Lincoln played in a quad in Sylvan and Tescott made the trek to Chase for a triangular. Sylvan-Lucas Quad Sylvan-Lucas and Lincoln dueled in the last match of the night and the Lady ‘Stangs swept the Lady Leopards with matching 25-20 scores.

The Lincoln Leopards travel to play Lincoln County rival Sylvan- Lucas Unified at Weatherman Field in Sylvan Grove, Friday, at 7 p.m. The game will be played in Sylvan Grove for the second straight season following the assignment of new districts by the Kansas State High School Activities Association, a process that happens every two years. Sylvan-Lucas plays in 8-Man, Division II, District 2, while Lincoln plays in 8-Man, Division I, District 4. As part of the process the state schedules five or six district games, while the rest ofthe schedule is left up to the team’s  athletic directors, playing at Sylvan Grove again this year worked best for both schools
