ADA requirements could delay sidewalk project at Mettner Field

At last Monday’s USD 298 Board of Education meeting, superintendent Kathy Robertson told board members that a fundraising effort for a new sidewalk to link the athletic locker room complex at Mettner Field with the home bleachers has generated $2,950 through the sale of steel memorial markers to be placed along the sidewalk upon construction. However, due to a determination that Mettner Field is not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the effort to complete the new sidewalk is now on hold.
