Adapters provide county firefighters access to vital resource

This spring, Lincoln County rural firefighters witnessed some of the biggest, unrelenting grass fires they had ever seen.

Whipped by gusty winds, the flames burned hotter as they swept across portions of Russell, Lincoln and Ellsworth counties, eventually shutting down Interstate 70 on March 6.
