Council considers new grant application

Grants

Economic Development Foundation director Kelly Gourley was on hand at the Feb. 8 city council meeting to discuss with the council a CDBG grant for Housing Rehabilitation Program to help with the housing issues in Lincoln. A grant under this program could provide crucial funding to rehabilitate existing rental properties and/or create new rental properties in town. Following discussion about the grant and its requirement, the council approved Gourley to proceed with the beginning stages of the process to see if there is any community interest in the program.

City Clerk Heather Hillegeist reported that the CDBG Water Line Project went out to bid Jan. 19, 2021. The bid opening will be Feb. 19 at City Hall at 11 a.m.
