Grace retires from Army National Guard after 26 years of service
In 1977, Brian Grace, a 17-year old kid fresh out of high school, felt the call to serve his country and joined the U.S. Air Force.
Grace, now 60, and more well known locally as the Honorable Brian V. Grace, Magistrate Judge of the District Court of Lincoln County, recently retired from the Army National Guard as a Sergeant First Class (E-7), having served 26 years in multiple branches of the military with multiple tours of duty.
On Sunday, July 14 at the Regional Training Institute in Salina, Grace was honored for his service with a retirement ceremony, cake and refreshments, and presented with a commemorative framed Regimental Colors of the 235th Regiment. His wife Anne was given a dozen roses as a token of appreciation for the sacrifices military families often make.
