Hospital discusses funding options
Acting CEO Tawnya Seitz spoke with the board at their September 22 meeting regarding various issues and possible funding.
She said the hospital is eligible for another $63,000 in CARES funding,
Seitz told of the need for new water tanks in the laundry facility and boiler room. In the laundry, the water is hot enough to sufficiently kill the bacteria but not hot enough to fully remove stains. The tanks in each area have sprung small leaks. She has submitted an application to the Small Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) grant program to cover the cost of new tankless water heaters. She has requested cost proposals from three sources; only one has been returned thus far.
