Making the holidays happy
Joseph Denton works with the elderly and infirmed residents and patients at Lincoln Park Manor (LPM) and Lincoln County Hospital (LCH). When the COVID-19 positivity rate in the county began to climb, the administration at LPM decided it would be in the best interest of their residents to restrict visitation. Eventually, the residents were kept in their own rooms to further lessen their chance of exposure.
Denton and his co-workers, fully understanding the reasoning behind the restrictions put in place, regretted having to tell residents they could not be with their loved ones over the holidays. There have been special treats and events planned for the residents that help break the monotony, but Denton wanted to do more for Christmas.
