Master Plan ready for adoption

Next step is officially incorporating the planning document

Last Tuesday, approximately 25 people made their way to the Vesper Community Center to get a better understanding of the details of the Lincoln County Healthy Living Master Plan. Representatives Jesse Benedick, ALA, and Stuart Porter, PE, from Schwab-Eaton, P.A., in Beloit, helped to outline some of the technical and procedural details of implementing the Master Plan’s various projects, both in terms of the scope of work to be done for each project, and means of funding those projects.

The completed Healthy Living Master Plan includes 16 projects creating outdoor amenities for physical activity and engagement. It is one of the outcomes of the Strategic Doing process encouraged by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, and many of the people who came to hear the presentation had been involved in that process at various stages over the last several years.
