New KHP trooper begins training in Lincoln County

Twenty-four troopers of the Kansas Highway Patrol Recruit Class #58 graduated on Dec. 13, 2018, from the KHP Training Academy in Salina, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol news release. With this recent graduation, Lincoln County has a new trooper in its county: Donavon Zamecnik.

He entered into the field training phase of the training program with his training officer in December, Trooper Ben Gardner with the Kansas Highway Patrol Troop C told the Sentinel in a Facebook message on Dec. 28, 2018.

The starting date for each trooper to begin their training phase varies, Gardner said.
