Old LHS building’s future remains positive

The old Lincoln High School building may soon be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has also been checked to see the impact of asbestos on the building.

Lincoln County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Kelly Larson is seeking to preserve the old LHS building, and is making plans for its future. Larson has applied to put the building, which, according to the Live Lincoln County website, was built in 1922, on the historic buildings list. Larson said this would open up a whole new world of opportunities for the building, including grants.
