Post Rock Ringnecks Pheasants Forever hosting Hunter’s Ed

Each year in the fall, local hunting enthusiasts from Post Rock Ringnecks Pheasants Forever Chapter 635 come together to educate new hunters and area youth about hunting safety and ethically. Lincoln County has a rich history of hunting, with habitat in abundance in this part of the state, and hunting has also boosted tourism and business in the area over the years.

Dove season began September 1, and other hunting seasons will also be underway in coming months, including deer, fall turkey, upland bird and migratory birds seasons. According to Kansas law, anyone born on or after July 1, 1957, except as exempted by law, must have taken an approved Hunter Education course before hunting in Kansas.
