Reception planned to welcome the Doctors Cheema

A community reception is being planned for June 7, to welcome Dr. Arshad Cheema and Dr. Yasmin Cheema to Lincoln’s medical community. The event will be held at the Finch Theatre from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Cheema’s have been seeing patients at the Lincoln clinic since Thursday, May 16. They will jointly act as managers of the clinic. Additionally, Dr. Arshad Cheema has been named Chief of Staff at Lincoln County Hospital. Dr. Larry Dragone has been placed on an extended personal leave of absence.

Dr. Arshad Cheema, specializing in family practice, and Jessica McMahon, ARNP, will continue to accept walk-in patients beginning at 7 a.m. each morning, and have extended walk-ins throughout clinic hours. Appointments are recommended for a shorter wait time.

The Lincoln County Hospital’s board of trustees welcomed two new members at their regular May meeting, May 21. Jim Weber has accepted the board seat recently vacated by Jack Crispin, whose term expired. Crispin served the hospital as a trustee for six years. Local attorney Bob Crangle has accepted the board seat vacated by Galen Liggett, who recently resigned from the board after 14 years of service.
