USD 298 BOE accepts $100,000 donation

The USD 298 Board of Education accepted a $100,000 donation from the family of L. Eileen Broberg at the October 1 regular monthly meeting, which will allow the community storm shelter project to be fully funded.

As previously reported, the $820,000 FEMA grant was awarded in August, but required a $206,720 local match. Superintendent Kathy Robertson, with support from the Facilities Committee, began the process of fi nding additional funding to satisfy the local match requirement.
