USD 298 BOE approves 2019-20 budget

LES HVAC and FEMA projects moving along

The USD 298 Board of Education held the annual Budget Hearing Meeting prior to the regular monthly meeting on Monday, Aug. 5, with outgoing District Treasurer Nancy Knapp and new District Treasurer Mandi Crist presenting information and notes about what has changed in the budget, including that the mill levy will be down again for the third year. The board approved the proposed 2019-2020 $7.06M budget later in the regular meeting.

With Board President T.J. Jonsson absent from the meeting, new Vice President Patti Winters led the meeting. Nex-Gen Summer Intern Preston Howard presented to the board on behalf of himself and Sam Huehl, about the projects and work they’ve been able to help with during their summer internship. Huehl helped with district maintenance and Howard was in his second year working with USD 298 Board Office during the busy summer months.
