USD 298 BOE busy with bid decisions and special meetings

The Lincoln Board of Education met three times in the last month, twice in special meetings, and once for the regular monthly meeting. The board met in February to discuss the new bids on the LJSHS HVAC project, and ultimately decided to reject that second round of bidding. The project was re-bid a third time with adjusted specs to get costs down further and more in line with the budget. A final bid was accepted, contingent upon funds, at the regular monthly meeting.

The board also held a special meeting Monday to begin the process of searching for a new Superintendent, after accepting Kathy Robertson’s resignation at the regular monthly meeting.
