As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Oakley Hospital, Paige Wallace Cranston never expected to find herself selling beef. Neither did her sister, Chelsea. But, over the last five years, Paige, her husband Chance and her sister, Chelsea have built themselves a unique market.
The Lincoln Pride committee, The Bank of Tescott employees and community members joined forces this past weekend for Lincoln Pride’s fundraising efforts to purchase musical instruments that will be located in the Lincoln City Park. Lincoln County Sheriff ’s officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Barnard March 21 where they removed 33 dogs of various ages and breeds due to what the Sheriff ’s office called “deplorable conditions.”
Gabriella Esterl received 15th out of 84 in the state spelling bee on Saturday. Good job. She also has won the Lincoln County bee for the last 3 years which has qualified her to go on. She didn’t get to go because of Covid the last 2 years so this is her first year that she actually got to do the state spelling bee. (courtesy photo)

The Sylvan Speech and Drama team captured 1st place at the Lincoln Speech Meet on Monday, March 21st. The team tallied 120 for the win, followed by Natoma, who scored 76 points, and Trego, with 61 points. Five more individuals on the team also qualified for the State Speech and Drama Championships by placing 1st or 2nd in their event.
Sometime last summer I found a huge bag of hatch green chiles that were on clearance in our local grocery store.
