The Lincoln County Health Department has been holding vaccine clinics at the Finch Theatre in Lincoln. The Finch will be the vaccine site during February and March. Between Feb. 1 — Feb.
At the January meeting of the Lincoln County Hospital’s Board of Trustees, CEO/CFO Tawnya Seitz told the board the hospital had received its second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for employees. They received 25 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 14 doses of the Moderna vaccine. The Moderna doses were given to the health department.
Look at any key community institution in the Post Rock Community Foundation (PRCF) coverage area over the past 10 years and that institution is likely to have at least one project funded, either fully or partially, by a PRCF grant.

Kindness Week was extended due to multiple snow days so greeters are spreading kindness at LES every morning as students arrive at school. A book co-authored by Lincoln County’s own Robert (Bob) Wallace of Barnard, is the basis for a new eight-episode series on Netflix titled Spycraft. Wallace and Keith Melton, co-author of the book by the same name, are co-executive producers of the series that is loosely based on their book. The series first aired Wed., Jan. 20.
Governor Laura Kelly has announced a statewide move to Phase 2 of Kansas’ COVID-19 vaccination plan. With this move, all those aged 65+, those in eligible congregate settings and all high-contact critical workers will now be prioritized for vaccination, in addition to anyone from Phase 1 who has not yet been vaccinated.
As a kick-off to a new year, Lincoln Elementary School is focusing on kindness during the month of January, 2021. They have set a school-wide goal of completing 500 acts of kindness between Mon., Jan. 11 and Thurs., Jan. 28.
