Hunter Lions help community through grant

Hunter Lions awarded a Post Rock Community Foundation grant to obtain supplies for child safety throughout the community. With the proceeds from this grant, the Lions were able to provide two baby changing stations, three high chairs, and three booster chairs for the Hunter Community Center, two baby changing stations for Bethany Church, two high chairs and two booster chairs for Trinity Lutheran Church and one high chair and one booster chair for Grace Chapel Methodist Church. Pete Payne assembled the high chairs and booster chairs, and Trevor Arnold installed the baby changing stations. The Lincoln-Tescott Chargers (LT Chargers) cinched the championship title this weekend defeating the Central Plains Oilers 19-0 in Canton, KS. City to consider county proposal

County commissioner James Gabelmann and Highway Department director Brendan McKay addressed the Lincoln City council at their regular monthly meeting October 12, in regard to repair of the E. Lincoln Ave. bridge by the city park. The bridge is owned by the county and maintenance is the county’s responsibility, but the walkways are the responsibility of the city.
