In honor of county and community veterans, Salt Creek 4-H has planned a Barnard community flag raising ceremony to be held Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Barnard Community Center.

Starting Nov. 2, 2020, the Lincoln County Health Department will begin doing COVID-19 Saliva testing. This is not a rapid test. It may take up to two days to receive test results. There is no charge for this test. Due to grant requirements you must meet the following criteria to be tested:

A staff member at Lincoln Park Manor has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19, according to information received from Administrator Diane Walters. The staff member was retested at the hospital and has been taken off the schedule until results are confirmed. To protect the safety of the residents, LPM is treating this as a positive test.

County commissioner James Gabelmann and Highway Department director Brendan McKay addressed the Lincoln City council at their regular monthly meeting October 12, in regard to repair of the E. Lincoln Ave. bridge by the city park. The bridge is owned by the county and maintenance is the county’s responsibility, but the walkways are the responsibility of the city.

A new female Southern white rhino, Evey, has taken up residency in the Rhino Barn at Rolling Hills Zoo after making the move from The Wild Safari Park and Conservation Center at Cumberland, Ohio last week.
