Andrea “Marilyn” Hudgins of Lincoln, Kan., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 with her daughter by her side. A celebration of life will be held on Oct. 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at the Lincoln United Methodist Church. Marilyn was born in Denmark, Kan., on July 17, 1930 to Esther and Albert Andreson. Marilyn graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Salina. She married Wilbur “Bill” Schroeder in 1948 and had four children, they lived in Eagle Mountain, Calif. Survivors include her children Steven (Janet) Schroeder, Linda (Kurt) Davis and Randall (Donna) Schroeder; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and brother Harold “Penny” (Dorothy) Andreson. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Schroeder, her parents, and four siblings. Marilyn loved to travel. She enjoyed vacations to multiple places in the U.S., and had memorable trips to Europe and Israel. Marilyn worked at various jobs, and she retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 1995. Marilyn lived 35 years in Oceanside, Calif., and returned to her roots in Lincoln in 2006. Marilyn loved life and brought joy to those around her. She was a Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout leader, church choir director, member of Denmark Dames, and activities planner for the residents of Post Rock Apartments. She loved her family and most of all she loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She has given up the pain of this world and is home in the loving arms of God.
