Duane S. Ferguson

Duane S Ferguson, 64, El Dorado, Kan., passed away Oct. 9, 2016 in his home. Duane’s life began on June 8, 1952 in Siloam Springs, Ark., the son of Billy D. and Denzel “Lori” Dolores (Boone) Ferguson. He received his education from Mississippi Gulf Coast College, Kansas University and the Air Force University. Duane served his country in the United States Air Force from 1974 until 1995 when he retired from the service. In civilian life, Duane worked as a directional driller in the oil fields. Duane was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed blues music. Duane’s family includes his wife Teri Baty of El Dorado, children Casey (Marc) Ferguson-Studebaker and Calen (Sarah) Ferguson ; grandchildren Jacob, Colton, Mason, Joella, Trenton, and Grant; and sister Teryl (Jerry) Grecian, Overland Park. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Joel Grecian. A private graveside service has been left in the care of Carlson and Kirby Morris Funeral Homes. Duane will be laid to rest with full military honors in Greenwood County Cemetery, Eureka. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
