Kenneth H. Wallace

Kenneth H. “Kenny” Wallace, 67, Barnard, died on Friday, March 8, 2019 while singing at The Dog House in Bennington, Kansas.

Kenny was born on August 15, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. When Kenny was three years old his parents and brother, Don moved to Barnard, Kansas where he lived the rest of his life. With his father he farmed and ranched on the Wallace Homestead outside of Barnard. They also owned the Wallace and Sons Construction Company. They built ponds and terraces and maintained roads. He later worked and retired from Lincoln County as a road maintainer. Kenny married Lois Ullom and they had 3 sons together. Jeff, Pat and Nick. They later divorced but stayed friends. A few years later Kenny met and married Linda Cousins, she added her children Michael and Jenifer and grandson Zach to the family. Linda died in 2007. A few years later Kenny met his present wife Ava Brown and fell in love and they became inseparable.

Kenny was given gifts from God of story teller, song writer and singer. Kenny leaves a big hole in the hearts of his family and many, many friends.

Survivors include his wife Ava; sons Jeff (Travis), Nick(Cindy), Michael Cousins (Michelle), daughter, Jenifer (Tyler) Paxson; 6 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; siblings, Steve(Carol) Wallace, Pam (Brent) Moeder; and step-sisters Sharon and Shirley.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda; son, Patrick; Brothers, Don, Mike, and infant David.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6 at the Barnard Community Building followed by a Jam Session in his honor. Everyone is welcome. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wallace Grandchildren Memorial Fund and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
