Linda J. Hlad
Linda J. Hlad, 77, died January 18, 2021 in Colorado.
She was born to Fred and Martha Siemers Zamecnik on February 8,1943 in Luray, Kan.
Linda graduated from Nightingale Nursing program in Mcpherson, KS. in 1982. As a nurse she cherished caring for others and helping save lives. Her favorite thing she loved doing was spending time with her family and feeding us all. No one ever went hungry around her! She is a breast cancer survivor and from that had several medical issues over the years since. She was no stranger to being strong and fighting hard with a strong family support group. Linda lost her last battle to COVID-19. She was a fighter and had to do a lot alone, which breaks our hearts even more due to the rules with COVID. We were blessed by the grace of God to be able to be by her side as she left this world. She is now at peace and dancing and laughing it up with Dad and many other family members in heaven. She was an amazing wife, mom, sister, grandma, greatgreat-grandmagrandma, great-and friend. Always laughing, such a beautiful heart and soul. She will be truly missed by many and we are devastated and heart broken as she fought hard for 27 days. We love you so much mom and this one hurts the soul.
She was predeceased by husband Albert in 2006 and two grandchildren.
Linda is survived by sons John of Wilson, Kan., Troy of Belsair, Wash. and Jim of Sylvan Grove, Kan.; daughters Vickie Wiegert of Salina and Amber Cannon of Andover, Kan.; sisters Wilma Shiroky of Las Vegas, Nev., Kelly Holland of Henderson, Texas, and Balerie Anderson of Callahan, Fla.; brother Ron Zamecnik of Lincoln, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great granchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Rodrick & Minear Chapel in Sylvan Grove, Kan. Burial followed at Rosette Cemetery.
