Michael D. Little

Michael D. Little, 66, died unexpectedly November 16, 2020 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born February 16, 1954 in Junction City, Kan, the son of Emmett Elmore and Rose Ann (Camarn) Little.

Michael was the U.S. Army from 1972-1976 Most of his service was served in Germany. After his military career, he married Lorrie Kaye Portenier from Dighton, Kan. They celebrated 44 years of marriage in July.

Michael began working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad in August 1978-1980. They moved to Bennington, Kan. where he began working for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1980-2004.

Michael loved reading his Bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, talking on the phone, laughing and always wearing a smile on his face. Most of all he loved his family, friends and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, son, many aunts, uncles and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie; daughters, Ai’mee (Curtis Kohman) Nelson, Tammy (Jeremy) George, son, Joshua Little; sisters, Vickie (Lewis) Kibler, Linda (Lenny) Mattos, Virginia (Casen) Brown, brother, William (Charae) Little; six grandchildren, Brandon and Brock Nelson, Hunter George, Blaison, Xandra and Bella Little.
