Tasha Lynn Meitler

On Wednesday February 10, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., our beloved Tasha Lynn Meitler was taken from us by a wrong way driver on 81 Hwy. She passed away at the age of 30, just 32 days shy of her 31st birthday. No words can express the sorrow and pain the family is feeling and suffering.

Lillian V. (Briegel) Bosch

Lillian Violet (Briegel) Bosch was born April 11, 1932 in Arapahoe, Neb. to Fred and Oma Briegel. Lillian was baptized May 1, 1932 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Neb. and was confirmed on Palm Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, Kan. on April 1, 1945. She attended multiple schools in Kansas as her father served the country during WWII building military bases. Music played a large role in her life and she was an accomplished musician of many instruments. After graduating high school in Salina, Kan. she attended St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, Kan. Here she met the love of her life, Floyd Bosch who was studying to be a Pastor in the Lutheran Church. She taught for two years in Wichita before they married on June 27, 1954 and moved to St. Louis. She taught 3rd grade in Maplewood, Mo. while Floyd studied at Concordia Theological Seminary. Upon his graduation from seminary, they accepted a call to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England as a mis-sionary family and served in Sunderland, England and later moved to London, England. In 1969 the family moved to Clay Center, Kan. where Floyd served as Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. After raising her six children, Lillian returned to college at Kansas State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education in 1982, while working as Director of the Big Lakes Developmental Center in Clay Center. She later accepted a position as Vice President in Manhattan and retired from BLDC in 1996. In retirement Lillian and Floyd enjoyed spending their summers in Sterling, Alaska fishing and winters in Weslaco, Texas and spending time with their family. They also went on many mission trips around the world helping those in need.

Sadie L. Meitler

Sadie Louise Meitler, 95, died at home February 27, 2021. She was born March 17, 1925 in Cement, Okla. to A.J. and Jessie Bigley. Sadie married Raymond M. Meitler on December 30, 1944. She was a homemaker, dairy farmer’s partner and a great cook.

Jeff Wallace

Jeffrey Wayne Wallace was born on February 14, 1973 in Salina, Kan., the son of Kenneth and Lois Wallace. He died on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in Barnard, Kan., at the age of 48.

Margie Lee Ahlvers

Margie Lee (Reischick) Ahlvers was born on March 2, 1924 on a farm southwest of Glen Elder, Kan. She departed this life on January 2, 2021 at the Lincoln Park Manor in Lincoln, Kan., at the age of 96.
