Baby, it’s cold outside
SLIGHTLY OFF KEY
I give up.
You would think, after living in Kansas as long as I have, I would understand there is absolutely no second-guessing this weather. There can be none of this “it’s July so it must be 110” or “It’s February so I better wear my longjohns.” There is no blind trust for the weather man, whomever he might be. We look at weather apps (or on television) to get a ballpark estimate of what we might see that day. Or not.
Unfortunately, I’m struck with the kind of arrogance that makes me think I can “make things work” no matter what, which includes dressing appropriately for the weather. I’ve been to treatment for this more than once, but it just doesn’t seem to take.
