Escape foiled

Escape foiled

A few months ago my fence blew over. It just plopped right over as if standing for eight years was just too much to bear. The posts stayed put, but the fence decided to go with the wind.

A friend and his family came over and decided it was poorly constructed to begin with so they rebuilt it for me. At the same time, my friends who mow for me wondered if it would be possible to put a gate in the eight foot section that blew over so they could bring the riding mower into the back yard. So, my builder friend built me a gate.

The gate follows the lay of the land so it looks as though it’s falling over all the time. That will be fixed later. I haven’t gotten out there to install a wheel on one end or a latch, so I have a stick I stick into the ground that holds the gate shut. Most of the time.
