Kids and thankfulness

The other day I overheard a conversation between two of my children discussing what they want for Christmas. There was this toy and that toy and this baby doll and this monster truck. The list seemed pretty endless. And thanks to various stores sending toy catalogs in the mail, the list of what they think they need gets even longer. So this being the month of Thanksgiving, I decided to discuss what they are thankful for each day. So far I’ve gotten typical answers such as various action fi gures, princess dolls, television shows, sports, toys, and candy. And the not so typical answers such as mud, underwear, milk, and even beautiful bathrooms.
