Letter to the Editor

I am sure you have noticed the influx of people in our area that are working for the pipeline. On most days, it is at least 40 extra people. These people eat, shop, purchase fuel, groceries and many other services from our town that the local businesses and community greatly benefit from.

For example: An extra 40 meals served through the local restaurants, at an average of $7 a meal, makes $280 per day. Generally they eat out twice a day, which makes your total go up to $560. This total does not include fuel, snacks and/or any other supplies/groceries they may have purchased throughout this day. See how fast those numbers can add up?
