What do you think of when you think of Thanksgiving?

I can close my eyes and remember Thanksgivings when my children were small. I can smell the turkey cooking. Everything was homemade from scratch, something I didn’t do everyday with a full time job and four “starving” children. There would be turkey and dressing, cranberry salad, fresh bread, green bean casserole, candied yams, an assortment of other goodies and pumpkin pie. Before we ate, the kids were required to name something for which they were thankful. It became a family tradition to share our thankfulness aloud at the table. It isn’t always as easy as it sounds.
