Your dog said what?

Dogs are man’s best friends. They are also women’s best friends and with Mother’s Day just passed we want to remember the Moms and families with four-legged “kids”.

According to experts, intelligent dogs can learn about 165 words. Some dogs learn less and dogs have been recorded to know up to 250 words. Dogs learn by both words and tone. A nice praise can very well work as a reward, but it works best if both words and intonation match. Dogs can recognize familiar words independent of context like tone and body language. This is why when I tell my dog to “Lie Down” she just drops and lies down but if my granddaughter tells her to “Lie Down” she will lie down, but for some strange reason always rolls over on her back.
