Leopards defeat the Tigers

The Lincoln Leopards high school boys basketball team snagged another win last Friday night after they outscored the Natoma Tigers 60-49. Due to weather, the Leopards didn’t travel to Downs last Tuesday for the scheduled game against Lakeside.

The Leopards had an explosive offensive start against Natoma, scoring 20 points in the first quarter, but defense was unable to prevent the Tigers from scoring, making it a close game. The Leopards went into halftime winning 24-32. The Leopards were not phased by halftime, and recorded 20 points in the third quarter, increasing their lead to 18 points. The Tigers saw some success on offense in the fourth quarter, but their efforts were not enough for the Leopards. After the Leopards 60-49 win over the Tigers, they improved their record to 3-9 on the season.
