Leopards fight tough luck; go 0-3 in Thunderbird Classic

The Leopards boys basketball team participated in the Thunderbird classic last week. They opened the tournament in a home game against the Rock Hills Grizzlies. Unfortunately the Leopards didn’t get the start they planned for in the tournament and were outscored 72-59.

The game started out close with the Leopards trailing 19-17 after the first quarter. The Grizzlies increased their lead in the second quarter, going into halftime up 37-27. To open the second half, the Leopards added 18 points to the scoreboard while holding the Grizzlies to 16. The ten point lead from the first half proved to be too great of an obstacle for the Leopards to overcome. The Grizzlies went on to win the contest 72-59. Landon O’Hare led the Leopards on offense with 16 points followed by Zach Obermueller with 15, Drew Biggs with 10, Sam Huehl with 9, Connor O’Hare with five, Tyler Good with three, and Hunter Meier added one.
