Leopards sweep Eagles
The Lincoln/Sylvan-Lucas baseball team snapped a 12 game losing streak by sweeping Ellinwood May 3. The Leopards wrapped up the month of April at Minneapolis April 30 and swept the Eagles at Ellinwood May 3.
Two runs in the opening inning wound up being the difference in the Leopards 7-5 victory over Ellinwood. After the opening inning both teams went scoreless in the second and scored two runs apiece in the third and fourth innings. The Leopards went up 7-4 in the fifth while the Eagles added a run in the sixth to trim the Leopard lead to 7-5. Both teams went scoreless in the final inning and the Leopards won by two runs.
Connor O’Hare pitched five innings giving up four runs, three earned on three hits, with eight walks and six strike outs. Dylan Wiebke pitched two innings giving up an earned run on two hits with two walks.
