Lincoln girls reach finals at Thunderbird Invitational

It was a busy week for the Lincoln High School girls basketball team. The Leopards played three games at the Thunderbird Classic, winning the first two and falling to Clifton-Clyde in the championship for second place.

The Leopards began the week by edging Rock Hills, 43-38, on Tuesday. Carson Walter led the way with 14 points while Dawson O’Bannon had 11.

Lincoln hosted Pike Valley on Friday in the final round of pool play and won 39-23. Lincoln trailed by two after the first quarter but outscored Pike Valley 17-4 in the second quarter. O’Bannon had a teamhigh 15 points while Tana Hayworth added 10.
