Lincoln Golf Club hosts tournament between rains
The Lincoln Golf Club hosted a three-person scramble Saturday, June 22. Between a morning rain and a late afternoon storm, 39 players were able to squeeze in 18 holes of golf. Conditions were wet, but playable.
Players came from as far away as Colorado, Mankato, Kan., Osborne, Kan., McPherson, Kan., and other area towns.
Winning the Championship flight were the team of Kerry Smith, and Kourt and Jessica Kobbeman. Finishing second after a two-team chip-off was the team of Corey, Dale and Devin Freeman from Mankato. Placing first in the first flight was the team of Emmett Howg, Louis Blase and Larry Zsuzsics. Second place in the first flight, again after a two-team chip-off was Kevin Street, Jarrett Larson and Daley Ryan.
