Lincoln and Tescott compete in season opener at Bennington Invitational

Lincoln boys finished top 10 at the Bennington Invitational. Senior Tyler Good (Middle) placed 1st in the 100 meter with a time of 11.73. The 4x100 meter boys relay team: Caleb Dotterer, Landon O’Hare, Joel Rees and Tyler Good brought home the gold with a time of 47.11. Good placed 3rd in long jump with a measurement of 19’7”. Sylvan-Lucas end season at Substate

The Sylvan-Lucas Mustang girls played the Rural Vista Heat (Hope/White City) in the second round of substate basketball on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 5:30pm at Canton-Galva High School. The Mustangs were ahead 13-9 after the first quarter and 17-16 at the half. The second half proved more difficult to keep the lead. The final score was 45-38. Mustangs move on in Sub-State

The Mustang girls played their first round of sub-state against Solomon on Thursday, February 25th at Sylvan. The Mustang girls won 50-28. Keeli Knobbe scored 17 points to lead the team and Cadence Nondorf scored 11 points. The Mustang girls will travel to Canton-Galva on Thursday, March 4th to play Rural Vista (Hope/White City). Lincoln celebrates senior night

Lincoln hosted Ellsworth and honored seniors on Friday Night. Lincoln girls lost to Ellsworth 22-38. Tana Hayworth was the high scorer with 5 points. Dawson O’Bannon and Lilly Sinclair ended the night with 4 points each. Lincoln boys lost to Ellsworth 25-68. Trey Simms had 7 points and Joel Rees followed with 6 points. Lincoln girls lost 26-58 and Lincoln boys lost 31-61. Landon O’Hare was high scorer with 14 points.

Sylvan-Lucas hosted St. John’s/Tipton on Friday, February 19th. The Mustang girls lost 38-49. Senior Cadence Nondorf led the team in points with 14. The Mustang boys won their game 49-34. Sylvan- Lucas played a make-up game on Saturday, February 20th due to weather conditions and no school on their scheduled game day. Sylvan- Lucas girls lost a tough game against Osborne with a score of 46-58. Osborne’s Trinity Lutters was lethal on the outside and shot 3- 3’s and scored a total of 19 points. The high scorers for the Mustangs were Keeli Knobbe with 14 and Cadence Nondorf with 12. The Mustang boys won their game 58-44. Jonah Huehl was the high scorer for the Mustangs with 25 points.
