Alvin Einspahr

Alvin LeRoy Einspahr was born October 28, 1933, in Imperial, Neb., to Susie (Herbert) and Theodore Einspahr. Alvin attended Wauneta Public Schools and began working for the Union Pacific Railroad as a pipe-fitter.

On June 11, 1953, Alvin married Kaye Frances Trotter in Oberlin, Kan., and to this union three children were born: Alvin Lee, Connie and Michael. The family lived in Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas as Alvin continued to work for the Union Pacific, retiring after 30 years.

Alvin was a talented wood-worker and carver, enjoyed fishing and hunting, camping and traveling, westerns and country music. He was a life-long Husker fan, traveling to various Husker bowl games. Alvin especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Alvin was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Imperial, Neb. He loved his Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Alvin passed away October 15, 2021, at the Imperial Manor, Imperial, Neb. He was 87 years of age.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye of Lincoln, Kan.; sons, Alvin Lee Einspahr of North Platte, Neb and Mike (Teri) Einspahr of Sutherland, Neb.; daughter: Connie (Gerald) Huehl of Lincoln, Kan.; grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew (Lisa), Tony (Nikki), Benjamin (Heidi), Charlie (Megan), Andrew (Conchita), Donovan (Lorrie) and Gerri Lynn (Scott); great-grandchildren, Chantz, Jaycee, Alau ra, Kay, Brett, Zander, Ian, Brayden, Briahnna, Bailey, Braxten, Codie, Cael, Paiten, Abel, Alexa, Samuel, Amanda and Jenna; greatgreat grandchild, Colton; sister: Delores (Einspahr) Cappel of McCook, Neb.; five sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

Mass of the Christian Burial for Alvin Einspahr will be held Thursday morning, October 21, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the St Patrick Catholic Church, Imperial, Neb., with Father Lothar Gilde celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.

A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, October 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., at St Patrick Catholic Church, Imperial, Neb.

A memorial, in Alvin’s Memory, has been suggested to the American Cancer Society
