In Loving Memory of Daryle Dean “Butch” Howell Daryle Dean “Butch” Howell, 84, passed away on October 12, 2023, in Gonzales, Tx. He was born to Arthur Wilson Howell, Sr., and Lola Ann Spear Howell in Lincoln County, Kansas on February 26, 1938. Daryle graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, KS in 1956. He went on to further his education and earned a BS in Chemistry from McPherson College and an MBA from Wichita State University. He married Marjorie Wise Howell on October 7, 1961, in Wellington, KS; they shared 62 wonderful years together.

Daryle worked with Pillsbury in Minnesota and Utah as the head chemist, he also worked in Kansas, Illinois, Ohio and Virginia during his career. Daryle and Marge moved to Gonzales to enjoy their retirement and be near family.

Butch excelled at sports throughout high school and college years, he went on to coach after graduation. He was also a mischievous man, always with a smile and twinkle in his eye. To add to his many talents, he was an avid outdoorsman, farmer, cattleman, chemist, and cardplayer.

Butch was not only a great father and husband, but he was also a loving brother, uncle and son; truly a loving man who could always be counted on.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lola Howell, his siblings Robert R Jones (Janet), Arthur Howell, Jr. (Eula Mae), Doyle Howell (Julie), Cheryl LePisto (Jim), and Vaudene Field (Rex).

He is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie, his children Jon Howell (Anne), Marcy Howell (Bob Henderson), his grandchildren Kayla Andreatos, Beau and Tyler Howell, his great grandchildren Kurt, Seth and Wade Howell, Dean and Sammy Andreatos, as well as his brothers Frank and Lyle.

The family will have a celebration of Life at a later date.
