DORIS LEE PLINSKY

DORIS LEE PLINSKY

April 7, 1929 - June 8, 2022

Doris Lee (Kissick) Plinsky was born on April 7, 1929, to Albert and Edna (Lee) Kissick. She went to the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Doris attended Beverly High School and graduated in 1947. She married Donnell (Dean) Plinsky on May 1, 1949. Doris was a longtime homemaker, a lover of the country life. Her memories as she grew older always reverted to those days of the farm where life was often challenging but always rewarding.

Doris was a member of the Beverly Community Church which was truly her family down through the years. She spent many years in her younger days working with the children’s church in the basement. Doris’ faith was her life and anyone who knew her could attest to the fact that she practiced what she preached.

Doris was a lover of her animals and whether they were strays that found a permanent residence at our home, or one that was legitimately ours, they were like her children. It didn’t matter if it was a chicken, a dog, a cat, or a cow. And they all had a name.

Doris was a wonderful cook. Her “impossible pie” is a legacy that has reached to her great-grandchildren.

Doris loved music, especially the hymns. She played the piano in church and enjoyed singing. She loved reading her Bible and prayer was a daily part of her life.

Doris loved talking about her family. It didn’t matter if it was her sons, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. She loved them all. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Dean and her brother, Duane Kissick.

Survivors are her two sons, Don and his wife, Jo of Wichita and Ron and his wife, Carol also of Wichita; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 13 at the Beverly Community Church where the service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beverly Community Church and be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Min-
