Jenny Landgren

May 9, 1921 - October 26, 2022

Genevieve Elizabeth “Jenny” Landgren, age 101, of Lindsborg passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Bethany Home of Lindsborg. Jenny was born May 9, 1921 in Beverly, KS.

She married Marvin Landgren on January 13, 1944. They were members of Bethany Lutheran Church. Jenny worked for a time as a housekeeper, and as a baker at Bethany College from 1963 to 1984.

Jenny enjoyed working beside her husband, Marvin, on the farm, playing sports, and watching her favorite sports teams (Dallas Cowboys and KC Royals). Other joys of her life included dancing at parties and spending time with her family at holiday meals and birthday parties, as well as eating ice cream and serving food at the senior center to “the old people”.

Survivors include her sons: Larry Landgren (Karen) of Emporia, KS, Richard Landgren (Pam) of Wichita, KS, and Dean Landgren (Shannon) of McPherson, KS; grandchildren: Brendon Landgren; Lisa Golubski (Rick); Lyndel Landgren (Aimee); Brent Landgren; Laren Landgren; Lathan Landgren (Kayla); Tiffany Clovis; and Tasha Postier; as well as 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Jenny is preceded in death by her parents; 6 siblings; husband: Marvin; and grandson: Lanvis Landgren.

The funeral was be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N. Main St., Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Chris Deines officiating. There will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
