Paula Hulda (Wacker) Huehl, 96, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Lincoln. The daughter of Ferdinand and Helena (Michael) Wacker born on, you know how it goes, the turd day of the turd month and ….(March 3, 1926 ) and baptized on March 14, 1926 by her grandfather Rev H.D. Wacker. She was confirmed April 2, 1939 by Rev. P.H.C. Stengel. She grew up on the farm by Westfall near St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and graduated from Lincoln High School.

She was married to Marvin Henry Huehl on August 29, 1948 by Rev. E. Besbel. Attendants were John and Renata Davis. Two sons were born to this union Marlin Ray Huehl on October 8, 1952 and Harold Jay Huehl on September 17, 1954.

She loved farming with Marvin and then working at the courthouse and becoming Clerk of the District Court in Lincoln County where she worked until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, butchering chickens, taking rides through the countryside, playing games with her grandchildren, circling words, and visiting with everyone. We thank God for Paula and the blessing she has been in our lives throughout her long life.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; son Harold Jay Huehl; husband Marvin Huehl; sisters, Dorthea (Ben Dohe) Burmeister, Renata (John) Davis, Selma (David) Lee, and Erna (Paul) Feldkamp; brother Walter (Lorraine) Wacker; brothers-inlaw, Duane (Joan) Huehl and Keith Selter; and sisters in-law, Madonna (Ben) Wilson and Helen (Bradley) Jensen. She is survived by her son Marlin Huehl, Sr.; sister Clara Suelter; grandsons, Marlin Huehl, Jr., John (Jennifer) Huehl, and Jason Green; great grandsons, J.C. Huehl and Jonah Huehl; great granddaughters, Jaden Paula Huehl and Hailey Green; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS. Family will be present 5-7 p.m.

Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2023 at Hall Chapel with burial following at Lincoln Cemetery. Luncheon will be provided at Vesper Community Center following the burial.
