Commissioners hold special meeting with hospital trustees

The Board of County Commissioners recently requested the Lincoln County Hospital Board of Trustees attend a special joint meeting between the two boards, at the courthouse Wednesday, September 25.

The meeting was relocated from the basement meeting room to the second floor courtroom as there was not space to accommodate the amount of people arriving. Chairman Alexis Pflugh welcomed those in attendance to the meeting and explained that they would like to have an open conversation with the Hospital Trustees about the hospital board and the hospital finances in relation to the county subsidy.

All seven hospital trustees attended the meeting, as well as Hospital CEO Steve Granzow, and other hospital employees and supporters. Commissioner Jim Gabelmann began by reading from a document he prepared regarding expectations and functions of hospital boards, in general.
