KANSAS EASES INTO REOPENING

KANSAS EASES INTO REOPENING

On Thursday, May 14, Governor Laura Kelly announced Phase 1.5 of the reopening process of the state. Due to an increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases in certain parts of the state, the governor opted not to move on to Phase 2 at this time. Phase 1.5 is a compromise of lifted restrictions proposed by her original plan. Phase 1.5 took effect May 18 and is scheduled to continue until May 31.

Lincoln County Public Health Officer Ladonna Reinert said the county will not be imposing stricter conditions than listed below.

The previous statewide Stay-at-Home order and mass gatherings orders are lifted, but gatherings of more than 10 individuals are prohibited. Mass gatherings are defined as instances in which individuals are in one location and are unable to maintain six feet of distance between them, not including individuals who reside together, with only infrequent or incidental moments of closer proximity.
