Betty J. Markley

Betty Jean Markley passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019. She touched many lives during her 94 years and will be greatly missed.

She was born in the Prairie Grove community and lived all her life in Lincoln County. Her ancestors on both sides were farmers and she and her husband, Wilton, continued farming and ranching for the rest of their lives.

Betty Jean was preceded in death by Wilton, her sister Shirley and her son, Kenny. She is survived by Larry Spear, Jim Markley and his wife, Eileen, John Markley and his wife, Marjorie, Sharon Markley, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at the Lincoln Community Church, located at 319 S. 4th, Lincoln, KS.

A luncheon will follow the service at 137 N. 4th, Lincoln, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may made be made to the Lincoln County Hospital or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
