Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

In this time of national and international crisis, I want to thank our friends and neighbors, who put themselves at risk to keep our city and county functioning and safe.

Thanks to the management staff and the city crew who keep the electricity on, the water flowing and the countless other maintenance jobs done. To RanDan, Inc. for your essential service. Thanks for fresh groceries and gas, the clerks and staff who keep us supplied, and the unknown truck drivers bringing us essential items. Thanks to Deb and her excellent Post Office group who keep us connected to the written word. Especially thank our UPS and FedEx drivers who are under greater pressure than ever. Thanks (hugely) to the sheriff’s department, fire department and the EMT’s for keeping us safe. And thanks to the folks at the courthouse who keep us organized.

We are so lucky to have an excellent hospital, clinic, and staff. They will be out in front if the crisis reaches us. They deserve gratitude.
