The Lincoln City Council met June 14 for a regularly scheduled meeting.
The USD 298 Board of Education met Wednesday, June 16.

When school’s out many children close their books for the summer. But Mary Andersen, Children’s Librarian at the Lincoln Carnegie Library, hopes to encourage kids to keep the books open and keep on reading.
Andy Obermueller moved from Lincoln with his family after first grade. Forty years and more than a few miles later, he decided there was no place like home.
The Finch Children’s Theatre Academy performed “Moana Jr.” for a full house on Saturday evening. Moana is a celebration of the rich stories of Oceania and is based on the beliefs and cultures of real people. During its spring grant cycle, the Post Rock Community Foundation awarded over $71,000 to sixteen projects throughout Lincoln County and those served by USD 298 and USD 299. The following organizations received funding:
Lori Brack will read from her third book, A Case for the Dead Letter Detective, at the Lincoln Art Center on Tuesday June 22 at 7:00. The poems are about an imagined and simultaneously real character whose job it is to connect letters with their intended recipients. He lives in a world both like and unlike the one we think of as real.
OCCK Transportation launched KANcycle, bike sharing for rural Kansas, in June 2019, and is celebrating the program’s second birthday with some fun events the week of June 14th.
