Many residents don’t know life without RanDan, Inc. picking up their solid waste every week. After 31 years of serving Lincoln County in this capacity, come rain or come shine, Randy and Krystal Pickering have decided to retire.

Planting SEED for economic growth

According to the Kansas Department of Commerce, planting seeds that enhance the quality of life in Kansas communities is key for economic development. Almost $2.7M in Strategic Economic Expansion and Development grants has been awarded to 61 recipients across the state to do just that, including $49,125 in grant funding awarded to the Lincoln County Economic Development Foundation to boost projects in the coming year related to community beautification, libraries, childcare, and food retail.
