Robert A. Abell, passed away September 10, 2021 in Granbury, Texas surrounded by family. A visitation and rosary will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lincoln, Kan. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church with a celebration of life to follow.

Donald Lee “Don” Weseloh

Donald Lee Weseloh, 64, of Sylvan Grove, Kan., died September 9, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center, after battling an extended illness. Don was born in Lucas, Kan., on October 10, 1956 to Walter W. and Gertrude L. (Groth) Weseloh. He was a self-employed farmer.

Jerry Clark Hollis, 77, of Lincoln, Kan. passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, surrounded by family. Jerry was born May 22, 1944, in Lincoln, Kan. to Dorothea (Eslinger) and Leander Hollis.

Thema Smith

Thelma Dimick Smith, 108, of Lincoln, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Ellsworth County Medical Center. Thelma was born on January 25, 1913 in Westfall, to George and Mary Dimick. She attended Keystone School until the 8th grade and then stayed at home until she was married. On April 15, 1933, she married Keith Smith in Lincoln, Kan. They had two sons, Frank Ardell Smith and Stephen Nicholas Smith.

Ronald Flaherty

Ronald V. “Ron” Flaherty, age 78, of McPherson, Kan., passed away August 19, 2021, in Frankfort, Ky. Ron graduated high school in Lincoln, Kan., in 1961. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1961 to 1964. After he served in the military, he hauled rock for Lincoln County. He enjoyed many years and had a very successful career as a surveyor for the State of Kansas. However, his true love was traveling the country with his wife, Nancy, and visiting many friends. It gave him much joy to visit and talk with anyone he met. Traveling in the motorhome all those miles meant many friends made in their RV group, Newmar Kansas Kountry Sunflowers.

Ouida Merle Griffeth, 97, passed to the next phase of creation Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Topeka, Kan. She was born November 2, 1923, in Friona, Texas to Vander Poole and (Annie) Ellen (Wright) Hodge.

Tara Dion King, 48, of Hays, Kan. passed away in her home on August 23, 2021. Tara was born on May 24, 1973, to Thomas Clay King and Sandra Cromwell King in Hays.

Chad Brandon Stec (44) was born on June 17, 1977 in Lexington, Neb. and died of complications from a severe infection at his home in Bassett, Neb. on July 26, 2021.
